Proud parents of newborns are too busy to do much celebrating but they can usually get more elaborate when choosing party themes for baby's 1st birthday. By this point the child in question is able to crawl or even walk. He may be teething or have a few new teeth. And he probably has developed some opinions about favorite toys or cartoon characters. Most one year olds will not have a very good grasp on the meaning of birthday parties for a few more years yet.
